“She kept wondering about the details, with something of the simplicity of a little child, who wants to have all its anticipated pleasure described beforehand. But the monotonous life led by invalids often makes them like children, in as much as they have neither of them any sense of proportion in events, and seem each to believe that the walls and curtains which shut in their world, and shut out everything else, must of neccessity be larger than anything hidden beyond”.

The summer has been wonderful, I’ve had some expeditions around London, yesterday I visited the National Portrait Gallery and returned with too many postcards of Louise Brooks and James Dean. Perhaps my biggest and most exciting adventure was my first festival, where I saw Lou Reed, Iggy and the Stooges and Morrissey. It was the most incredible feeling singing to Morrissey with thousands of other like-minded souls. I hope your summer was lovely. xox
I would very much like to live by the see too, although a week in a little Cornish cottage seems to be as close as I shall get. I find it very hard to choose favourites, some films which I watch over and over again are Atonement, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Starter for 10, Roman Holiday, and An Education. And I love so many books, but my favourite would have to be one from the Harry Potter series. Sorry for being incredibly late at replying. xox
Thank you all very very dearly for the birthday messages, I had a lovely day (saw Deathy Hallows part 2 at the Imax and cried far too much). Sorry for being somewhat absent from tumblr for the past few months, I shall try to post more regularly xxxxx
It’s my birthday today!
